
	What is Gingivitis? Gingivitis is the early stage of gum disease. If it is diagnosed early, it can be treated and reversed. Some of the common signs and symptoms are: 1. Red Gums 2. Swollen and puffy gums 3. Gums that tend to bleed easily If treatment is not received, gingivitis could progress into periodontitis. Periodontitis is an advanced and much more serious stage of gum disease. This stage is characterized by bone loss and is not reversible. Gum disease is one of the main causes of tooth loss in adults and has also been linked to heart attacks and strokes.
