Dixie (Certified Dental Assitant)

Dixie was born and raised in beautiful Kelowna, BC. She enjoyed raising her three children here as well. They are all grown and living their lives to the fullest.

She took her CDA training at OUC 30 years ago. She has worked for a periodontist and in a large group pracitce gaining a vast amount of knowledge from those she worked with. For the last few years she has been working with the dental hygienists as a hygiene assistant. Her heart is working in this area after working with a periodontist in the treatment of gum disease and patient education. She was president of the Kelowna Dental Assistants Society for many years. She has worked at OUC as an examiner for clinical exams in the Dental Assisting department. Her positive attitude and genuine care for patients makes us fortunate to have her in the practice since 2008.

In her spare time, along with her husband, she enjoys skiing, boating, motorcycle riding and many other sports.
