Simone (Registered Dental Hygienist)

Simone has been a dental hygienist in our office since 2009 when she was fiilling a maternity-leave position. She is a true professional and we are glad that she was able to stay here full-time. Her previous experience as a certified dental assistant for 12 years makes her a wealth of knowledge for all dental questions and experiences. She has a strong interest in continuing education and graduated with her Diploma in Dental Hygiene from the University of Manitoba in 2002 and her Bachelor of Dental Science in Dental Hygiene in 2008 from UBC.

She is comfortable working with children, adults and seniors and understands the unique needs of each individual. She enjoys seeing the improvements in the dental health of her patients and making a difference in their lives.

In her spare time she enjoys skiing, skating, cycling, swimming, hiking, rollerbladding and running half-marathons. She enjoys being active! She has also volunteered in Youth Guidance Ministry and Children's Ministry and volunteered at bible camp near Vernon, BC.

She is a member of the BC Dental Hygienists Association, the Canadian Dentla Hygienists Association and is an active member of the Okanagan Periodontal Study Club mentored by Dr. Steven Faigan, a local periodontist.
